The Kevin Tonero Memorial Fund
was established by friends and loved ones after his sudden passing in 2022.
The goal in 2023 was to honor Kevin, gather good people and raise financial support
for his children’s educational endeavors.
MISSION: ACCOMPLISHED!
Based on Kevin’s life mantra, “if you’re gonna be a bear, be a grizzly”,
We aptly named the annual fundraiser and golf outing:
THE GRIZZLY
The continued mission of The Kevin Tonero Memorial Fund
is to honor Kevin’s big heart and boundless generosity for people in a time of need.
“The Grizzly” was a great success, and embodied all that Kevin loved:
FAMILY, FRIENDS, GOLF, DRINKS, LAUGHTER and GIVING
As we prepare for the 3rd Annual GRIZZLY, we invite you to team up with us!
We are committed to finding a family or families in a difficult season of their lives

This year, The Kevin Tonero Memorial Fund is fundraising to support
Kevin Graney
A lifetime Denville resident, Kevin, husband, father and owner of Graney Electric. Diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic bladder cancer in January of 2024, needs our support. Although this is not Kevin’s first go-round as a cancer warrior, this particular battle includes major surgeries, multiple hospitals stays, extensive rehabilitation and constant medical attention and nursing care. Kevin has been a prominent figure in the Denville community, helping those in need, supporting local causes, and contributing to the local economy. Now it is our turn to give back to the Graney family. Let us show Kevin and his loved ones that they are not alone in this fight. Together, we can help ease some of their financial strain during this difficult journey, while honoring the memory of Kevin Tonero.
Your generosity and participation will help with Kevin Graney’s medical expenses
The Kevin Tonero Memorial Fund will also be awarding a scholarship of $3,000 to 1 student who is looking to pursue an alternative career/education path after graduating from Morris Knolls High School.
After graduating from MKHS, Kevin (‘83) worked with his father, who owned Tinny’s Auto Body in Dover, as a body man. A few years later, he entered automotive sales and found his calling. For over 20 years Kevin held various titles at Infiniti of Denville, leading up to Executive Sales Manager. While Kevin regretted not pursuing a college degree, and it took time for him to embrace his skills and talents, he celebrated many successes throughout his career. Kevin’s family and friends want to encourage and support MKHS graduates in realizing that there are several paths to lead you to success and fulfillment. Students who have a demonstrated interest in pursuing trade school, technical school, vocational/job training, military enlistment, or an apprenticeship after graduating are invited to apply to this scholarship.
